Industry leader in dried fruit and nut logistics brings deep operational experience and leadership to Cyclone’s growing team.
Cyclone Shipping is pleased to announce that Joshua Skiest has joined the company as Operations Manager as of April 6, based in the company’s Phoenix office.
Joshua brings eight years of experience with Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC), where he was selected by the company’s New York headquarters to help build the Tempe, Arizona office from the ground up. As the office grew to more than 100 employees, Joshua played a central role in establishing the Export VIP department, developing team structure, and leading day-to-day operations.
Most notably, Joshua led the Export VIP DFN (Dried Fruit & Nuts) desk, overseeing export shipments across the United States. His work included managing dry, reefer, and intermodal movements end-to-end, from contracts and bookings through invoicing and documentation. He was known for keeping shipments moving, working proactively to resolve challenges, and minimizing disruption for customers.
In his role at Cyclone Shipping, Joshua will oversee day-to-day operations, helping ensure shipments continue to move safely, smoothly, and on time—even when challenges arise. He will begin interacting directly with clients as he becomes integrated into Cyclone’s processes.
